Product Description
The EzyDog Checkmate Wide is a wide martingale collar built specifically for large and giant breed dogs. Where standard martingale collars can feel narrow or restrictive on broad-necked breeds, the Checkmate Wide offers an extra wide fit that distributes pressure evenly, giving you firm, humane control without choking.
Like all EzyDog Checkmate collars, the Wide uses a martingale-style mechanism: the collar tightens gently when lead pressure is applied, preventing escape and discouraging pulling, then releases immediately when the dog relaxes. There’s no metal chain and no sharp correction. Just consistent, calm control.
Built for Large and Giant Breeds:
The Checkmate Wide is designed for breeds including German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Labradors, Golden Retrievers, Great Danes and other large or giant breeds where a thick, wide collar is essential for both comfort and control. The XL fit accommodates larger neck circumferences, and the welded stainless steel D-ring provides a secure, heavy-duty attachment point for your lead.
Reflective stitching keeps your dog visible in low light, and the quick-release buckle means the collar goes on and off without fuss. Available in Black and Blue.
Complete your large dog’s walking kit with an EzyDog dog lead or explore our full range of dog training collars. For smaller breeds or a standard width, the Checkmate Martingale Collar is available in four colours and sizes S to XL. For more collar options, you explore our dog collar range.
