    Oh dear...

    ...the concept was good in theory but awful in practice. The loop did not allow the car belt to slip through easily in securing each of our three dogs. The inertia reel and this pinned all three to the back rest making turning very difficult and they all looked very unhappy. We've reverted to adjusted single straps. The system does not permit our dogs to get up, turn, then settle.

    Hi Steven, we're so sorry the Car Restraint didn't work out for your three dogs. The restraint is designed to thread onto the seatbelt and slide along it once buckled, so your dog can sit or lie down comfortably while staying secure in one spot. If the seatbelt is pulled out quickly or all the way, the inertia reel can lock and hold the belt tight against the seat, which stops the restraint sliding and keeps your dogs pinned to the backrest. Buckling the belt first and letting it retract gently so it sits naturally should give them room to turn and settle.     Didn't work for my dog

    This seatbelt attachment did not work for my puppy. He was able to get his legs tangled in the seatbelt causing him distress. Maybe he was too small for it.

    Never get in a car without it

    My dog was wearing this seatbelt when someone decided to overtake on a bend and drove head on into our car, I've no doubt that this car restraint saved my dogs life, he was the only one that came out of the collision unscathed. Unfortunately it got lost so I have bought another as he will never get in the car without it. I can't highly recommend this enough.
