At first you think a girth for the dog that goes into the regular girth click thing in the car is a good idea. The problem is, dogs do not sit still in the car, like humans. They don't stay sitting straight. They turn a lot. My dog got tangled up in the girth. Had we had an accident, that girth would probably had done more damage. I like that it has a shock absorbing feature but it is not entirely thought through. I think what we need for dogs is a double saftey girth, that is attached from two sides, but not down below, but more at height with the top of the seat. I think that might work for my dog, but i don't even think this exists as a product, i am not sure.
